When you have a market as big as the health and wellness industry, you are going to get a lot of people teaching and selling products and techniques that are designed simply to line their pockets.

The reason that these products do not deliver the results people are looking for is simple. Our bodies have an amazing ability to adapt to the demands that we place on it. 
So, if you just keep doing the same thing, your body will become extremely efficient at it. That means that after a short time, you will receive very little benefit from that exercise. 
Tony Horton, the world class trainer behind P90X explains it with his principal, “Muscle Confusion”. He says that you need to keep your muscles guessing as to what you are going to do next. You need to mix up your workouts so that your body is not able to adapt.
Beware Dieting 
The number of different diets out there is simply mind blowing. What is even more astonishing is that they all claim to be the best. 
The truth is that most of them are not even healthy. Our bodies require protein, fats and carbs, along with lots of water. I have come across many diets that cut either protein, fats or carbs to a level that does not allow your body to function properly. 
Others try to get you to drink less water because they say it will reduce your water weight. You are not trying to lose water weight, you are trying to lose fat. 
Without enough water, our bodies struggle to function properly. So, if a diet is over restrictive with any of the nutrients that your body needs, stay away from it.
Diet Pills and Supplements 
I am going to keep this simple. If a product claims that it ill help you lose weight, you want to know HOW it helps you lose weight. 
Most diet pills do one of two things. They either crank up your heart rate to speed up your metabolism, or they flush water out of your system. Neither one of these techniques is at all healthy.
In order to lose weight in a healthy manner, here are the things that you need to focus on.
1 – Making sure that your body is getting the nutrients that it needs. 
2 – Restricting the amount of unhealthy food that you consume. 
3 – Exercising to burn calories, along with improving your heart and lung health.
